So Many Blessings!!

Hey Hey Hey!!!!

I'm so excited to to be sending out my first email as a missionary ! I'm going to be covering the last two weeks so let's get to it!

Sunday July 30th I gave my farwell talk TWICE for both the ysa ward and my family ward. I think they went pretty good! after church I got set apart as a missionary!!! Tears were shed but it was such an AMAZING experience!

July 31st I started the mtc (mission training center) on zoom! I wasn't sure how it was going to play out but it ended up being so amazing and the whole week was just muah*french kiss. My companion Sister Brown is the sweetest human and has such a strong testimony of the gospel! I love hearing her teach and I learn so much for here everyday! My district is also AWESOME! We all get along so well and have the funnest times together. I am definitely so blessed to be put with such amazing district AND an amazing companion!

July 31st- Aug 7th Most of my of days of zoom mtc consist of two 3 hour classes and one workshop. Even though it was a lot it was super spiritual and I have been learning SO MUCH! my testimony of the gospel has grown like crazyy  and it has just made me so excited to continue learning! The first week we talked about our purpose as a missionary as well as how we should properly use technology, missionary training expectations, teaching with the spirit and SO MUCH MORE !  I've actually learned so much and am so grateful for all the amazing learning opportunities the mtc provides.

Sister Brown and I had the opportunity to teach someone this week! We taught him on zoom twice but the first time I was late because my zoom app decided that was the perfect time to update:/ anyway, we taught him about prayer and how he can use prayer to find comfort + strength in his life and I think it went pretty well! YAY!

Aug 5th Saturday was pday! (Preparation day) and dad's birthday! WOOT WOOT! I had one class and then I was able to hang out with the family for the rest of the day! We were able to go to Caliches (local custard shop) for a last hurrah and dad's birthday lunch! The rest of the night consisted of packing, Mom did some amazing work with only two suitcases I don't know how she did it

Sunday the 6th- Fast Sunday + Aj's birthday! I went to church with the fam and had an amazing sacrament meeting. The spirit was so strong! I had my farwell party that night and it was so much fun (shoutout to my bro AJ for letting me have my party that day) I am so grateful for everyone who came to support me and wish me well. It meant so much to me so THANK YOU YOU'RE AWESOME!!

Monday I had my final class of online mtc which was so exciting! The rest of the day we did final preparations for me to depart the next day to the provo mtc! It was a very bittersweet night with lots of tears+ stress

Tuesday I woke up with my family at 2am to drive to the airport! Ended up crying more when saying goodbye but was so excited to go to Utah! For flying for the first time by myself it went really really well until I went to go get my suitcases. I took both my suitcases off the baggage claim then realized one of my suitcase handles broke! OK just imagine me literally dragging one suitcase, pulling the other one, while also having a stuffed backpack on throughout the airport…it was not a pretty sight but I did it and made it to the bus that took me to the mtc. I got there about a day earlier then the rest of my district so they put me with a temporary district and companionship. The sisters I was with that day were SO NICE and I was so grateful for them at that time. I also participated in the choir which was so cool and pretty much sight-readed the song since they were actually performing that day(I didn't know that until I got there) but it was so amazing and the devotional was also so good!

Wednesday the 9th- the day my comp + district came and it was so fun to see everyone in person! The rest of the week consisted again with classes. In our classes we've been practicing teaching a lot which has been an awesome learning experience and super humbling hehe..Also i recommended breaking into your shoes before you walk in them all day so you dont end up bleeding into your white socks like i did (pic below). Yay blisters. Thursday and Friday were more classes and we signed up for more teaching appointments! We also met with our branch president and his wife in person and they're super awesome people! Again another blessing!

Finally today! Pday! (saturday) This morning we went to the Provo temple as a district to do an endowment session and It was a super spiritual experience for me. We woke up at 5 for the 6:30 session and i honestly loved it so much! The sweetest ladies also came up to us to and wished us good luck on our missions! They made my day! The rest of the day was basically calling the fam, laundry and outside time! So fun!

Anyway, so sorry this email is SO long I just had so much to talk about haha. If you read all the way to here you're a real one and I love you!

Hope you all have the best week! Let me know how you're doing! I'd love to hear from you!
