Service = Urgent Care

Heyyy !

Guess what!? so many crazay things has happened this week! Urgent care, stalking by a member, my one month and miracles!

Monday:

Monday night we were able to visit Ayden and we were able to go through the baptism interview questions again in front of her grandma to show her that's she's ready for baptism! And we got all the support and were able to set a date + time for her baptism! So hyped! Had a lesson with Ashish and asked some very good questions (wrote them down to study them some more haha) luckily we were able to answer them all with help from a member that was with us.

Tuesday:

We had our new missionary meeting with President Spencer and his wife and let's just say i was stressssed after that because of all the information + they gave us a list of everything were supposed to know by the end of the transfer which was a lot but it'll be ok . We had a lesson with our friend John, we talked about the word of wisdom and invited him to work on some things regarding that so hopefully that goes well! Next we went to a referred house but instead decided to stop by the next house who were members and gave us lots of referalls so that was awesome! Then we went to share a message with a family + got amaze cinnamon rolls in return so win win!

Wednesday:

After knocking on doors with not much success we met up with a member who goes around her neighborhood each Wednesday with the sisters to meet her neighbors and maybe find some people who are interested in the church! Met some awesome people there! Had 4 lessons that evening but 2 got canceled so we knocked on more doors to find new people. Had another lesson with Teresa and was able to set a time for her baptism date! Yay! We had one lesson with Raul and he's SO ready to be baptized he just needs to work some things out then we can set a date! At the lesson we had a member there which was great except he kept getting into deep doctrine and then admitted to sis heckert that he stalks her and knows where she lives and her parents name "because all you do in google them" and he found her mom's Facebook. He said "your mom posts everything on Facebook and she shouldn't do that" kinda funny but I was kinda terrified after that so hopefully he forgot my name lol I was also able to see Sister Scott today! (A friend from my hometown) it was so great to catch up with her!

Thursday:

My one month as a missionary! CRAZAYYY Started off the day by doing service for a member, cutting branches of a tree to put in the dump. Sister Heckert accidentally cut herself so then we spent a few hours of that day at the Urgent care because she had to get stitches! definitely an adventure but it ended up being okay! We felt bad for the member though because that was the third time she had to go to the urgent care because of that tree! We now call it the witch tree because everyone kept getting hurt! Had a lesson with Ayden again and guess what we got approval from all family members so the baptism Is going to happen! Yayay! On our way to our next lesson sis heckert had a prompting to stop by another house that she's been trying to get in contact with forever and they were finally home! We were able to schedule a lesson with them on Tuesday! Miracle! Then we had two more lessons with a family who's kids are interested and it was awesome they already know so much + one with a kid named Paul who is crazayyy and it was hard to keep his attention but it still went oki doki.

Friday:

Had zone council today and then went to chick fil a! Missed that! Not much happened on Friday just more contacting! Started exchanges that night

Saturday:

Exchanges today with the ASL sisters! It was very cool to watch them teach lessons in sign language, I didn't understand it that well obvi but I could still feel the spirit so strong throughout all the lessons. We also walked around a neighborhood for about a hour and talked to so manyyyyy people and had some pretty good conversations but then one of their friends called them asking if we could come right now for a lesson and we were able to meet some of her friends and they all want to go to church and learn more so that was awesome!

Sunday:

We cover 2 stakes-16 wards so sundaysss are crazay but so productive! Went to a few sacrament meetings + then met some friends( laurena and her son Kaleb) of a member who are SO interested in the church! They've already been going to church and want to get baptized so that was exciting! After church we immediately started teaching them and they loved it so much! Laurena told us how the gospel has been a blessing in her life and came at the perfect time as she's been struggling a lot so we're super hsppy for her that the gospel is already bringing so much joy and peace in her life! The member that referred them to us invited us to her house while we taught her friends and made us some FIRE chicken Alfredo. So good! We then had another lesson with someone else who we've been trying to get in contact with so we're grateful we were finally got to meet up with him!

Random thoughts:

- the weather this week has been crazyy. It was sunny, then really crazy windy and then rainy and today it was sooo cold. We think it might be a early winter here soon.

-almost got side swiped by a drunk driver so that was fun

-we have 3 baptisms this month and I'm so excited!

Spiritual moment:

This week for my additional studies I've been studying christ like attributes and I really love this scripture about hope. I love how it talks about what hope is and what we hope for as believers of god and how it connects with faith! I never thought about that before but it's so powerful!

" Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God."
