General Conference IN Person!

Heyyo!

This week went by prettyyyy fast! Here's a recap:

monday:

Pday! Went to top golf and the park with our district and convinced a kid that one of the elders was spider man haha. For proselytizing hours we had another amazing lesson with our friend Ashish. He asks the best questions so I'm constantly learning from him! We were also able to meet with a member family and shared a message of the atonement of Jesus christ. It was soo spiritual we were alllll crying by the end of it :,)

tuesday:

today we spent some time making activity packets for the kids we teach for general conference and then did service at the Cheevers. We were able to help Sis cheever clean up her house before she has surgery! We had a lesson with tristin and ashish again and they both went well. We were able to show ashish the video of Jesus christ coming to the ancient Americans. That video is SO good! I definitely recommend!

wednesday:

Had a lesson with Tamara and her daughter tiara + her cousins. Their lessons are always the funnest! They're very enthusiastic and curious about the gospel! We also scheduled a lesson with Yesenia and her husband this week. Her husband ended up just debating with us about his religion but we were able to answer all his questions about our church...very interesting lesson. We also had a lesson with dallin which was good too!

thursday:

On Thursday president and sister Spencer hosted a missionary 6 week check up meeting with all the new missionaries. We were able to talk about our experiences so far on our missions as well as our struggles and successes. It was pretty cool to hear from the other missionaries about their experiences so far! We were able to hang out with Sister Grant too as her companions were in a missionary leadership meeting and it was so much fun! We had 3 lessons which went well! We also decided to go to the seminary building during lunch since we heard that lot's of kids including non members hang out there. We were able to talk to the principal and he gave us many opportunities and ideas for how we can find new friends to teach so we were pretty excited for that ! ! we stopped by one of our friends house and their dog literally gave birth that day so we were able to hold their puppies !

friday:

last council as a zone so sad:( sis pennock is going home since she completed her mission so we all wore black for her funeral haha. we made lots of door contacts today and were able to schedule some appointments with some people that are hard to get in contact with so that was awesome ! we had a lesson with tristin again and taught about the importance of following the prophet and keeping the commandments

saturday:

General conference!! General conference is where our Prophet who is called of God speaks to us! So it's very exciting! We watched the morning session @ the church building, the afternoon session @ the Cheever's home + homemade pizza (so good ! ) and the evening session with our district. It was all a lot of fun and super inspiration! After conference we went out into our area and made a few contacts and scheduled a time to meet with someone who again is hard to contact so YAY. We also went to visit some of our recent converts and other friends to remind them of General conference!

sunday:

we were able to go to the morning session of conference in person and it was amazing! I feel so blessed to be able to have that opportunity! We took the train and got there early enough to watch Music and the Spoken Word as well. by the time we got home the afternoon session was about to start and we watched that one at the church as well! So so so good! If you haven't watched general conference yet I encourage you to watch it! You can access it on the gospel library app or byuTV! ! :)))

for the rest of the day we made more contacts, visited referalls and had a lesson with dallin. We were also able to help his mom make posters for the booster club volleyball team which was so fun! And in return we got creamies so muy bien !

Randoms:

-this Thursday is transfers so next email I'll let you know what happens with that!

-I heard that Utah is the #1 state for Halloween decor or something...but I believe it. I've seen some crazy decked out houses, it's pretty funnn

-we have 6 peeps on date for baptism in Oct!...hopefully I stay in the area.
