Baptisms And Rejections

good morning !

this week has been crazyyyy busy. the beginning of the week was rough because we had to set aside (drop) a lot of our friends because they weren't committed to meeting with us. we also had to drop the poulson kids because their mom still didn't think they were ready for baptism. it was so sad. it definitely was an act of faith but we were able to see the blessings from that later in the week

since transfers are this thursday and sister heckert is leaving us for home it's been a pretty sad week as sister heckert has been packing and saying bye to everyone. our friends Raul and his fellowshippers took us to red robin which was so fun, got some FIRE burgers.

we also had some really good lessons this week! we were able to put 2 brothers on date jace and jameson for Dec 9th! We've been continuing to meet with iris, tiara and tamara and helping them build their own testimony. weve also had after-baptism lessons with tristin, and the martinez family and they're doing awesommme! Tristin also got the priesthood and will be passing the sacrament for the first time this sunday!  paul's getting baptized this saturday and we set a day for his baptism interview! we also met with all 7 ward mission leaders to talk to them about the work in their ward and how we can help them move it foward.

during zone conference last week president spencer introduced us to this new training we were going to do as a mission. every friday we're meeting as a mission and president will call up 2-3 companionships  to teach a lesson to the whole mission. on friday we all met together and did the restorations and it was pretty good we were able to learn lots on how we can become better teachers! on friday we also had our last district council for this transfer and it was good too!

on saturday mikelle got baptized ! lot's of her family came too which was SO awesome as we're trying to help them get reactivated in the church! there was also lots of other events happening at the church so we were able to meet more members and get lots of food ! sunday we were able to watch 2 primary programs and it was so cute ! :))) we also visited the Finch's, a young couple in one of the wards and they are AMAZING ! so missionary minded! they gave us lots of referalls so we're excited to visit those people tonight!

randoms:
-we got a referall from a member referring us to someone who could use a uplifting message so we stopped by and he said that we could come back tomorrow, so we did and got welcomed by a lovely note on his door that said "sorry not interested."
-on sunday, jessica, the mom of a few of our recent converts told us to come over that night but didn't tell us why. we showed up and she gave us homemade tres leche cake since we were all probably gonna leave before our birthdays so we had a early birthday party!

spiritual moment ♡
ALMA 36 : 3
And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.

this is one of my favorite go to scriptures whenever someone needs an uplifting message! all of us go through rough patches in our lives so it's important that we're constantly keeping our focus on God our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ! It's because of them that we're here today and it's only them that can save us from the trials and afflictions we face in our life! Trust In God!

love y'all,

sis laws :)
