Give Thanks

what's up! it's been a good week! here's the update - >

monday:

pday! since we had another pday on thursday, mondays pday only went to 2pm. we did our grocery shopping and then hung with the district for the rest of the time. during proselytizing time we made some contacts and had a lesson with the garcia family. the lesson was good but hard as we had to take them all off date for baptism :( its okay though because we know they'll be ready one day!

tuesday:

weekly planning day! weekly planning is once a week (obvi) where we plan ideas and lessons to help our friends we also set goals for ourselves, the companionship, and the area. after weekly planning we had 2 lessons. we met with tristin for another after baptism lesson and then we met with jace and jameson. when we arrived to their house they were playing with a girl named cora we asked if she wanted to join the lesson and she said she did! after the lesson we asked if she wanted to learn more and she said she did! we went to talk to her mom and her mom gave us permission to teach her! #newperson! that night we met with our stake mission leader as well to figure out who is in what ward with our friends and their fellowshipers since all the ward bonderies got moved around!

wednesday:

on wednesday we did our usual walk with sister huber. we went and visited her neighbor annabelle. annabelle is such a sweet lady who loves christmas! her house is seriously decked out. we were able to share a spontaneous lesson with her which was awesommmme and we might go back next week! we got a referall from a member to visit brandon so we went to his house and he was really nice! we shared a message and scheduled a time to come back to meet with his daughters as well! we also got invited to a members house for their annual pie night! We were able to talk to lots of the members and ofc eat pie! so good! 

thursday:

thanksgiving!!! we had and all day pday which was nice since we just chilled most of the day. for thanksgiving dinner we went to a members house and ate with her and her family it as so good and we were very grateful :)) we also hung with our district and zone and played some games

friday:

district council, gave another training, after we had a snowball fight, we met with a ward mission leader to update him on the work in his ward since it all changed and then had a lesson with maxx! maxx is so awesome and so ready to be baptized! we also met with some members that night, knocked doors and met a recent convert named jillian. she only had one after baptism lesson left so we were able to get that done and invited her to church!

saturday:

crazy day. started off by doing some service for sister yancey. she recently moved in so we helped her put her bed frame together and we got lasagna in return! we spent most of our proselytizing time reminding all our friends and recent converts about church the next day especially since some of them were attending different buildings or times. we met with brandon and his daughter, cate, and shared the message of the restoration! It was such a good lesson the spirit was SO strong! we gave cate a book of mormon and asked if she was interested in learning more and she said YES #newperson! we also got a self refferal from stephanie so we went to visit her, she told us about her life and her struggles and we were able to share a message with her as well and we scheduled a time to come back! #anothanewperson! YAY! finished off the night by visiting members!

sunday:

woke up with a very sad text from maxx.. basically he said he couldn't be baptized until he read the entirety of the book of morman as a requirement from his dad. we understood but it was sad to take him off date for baptism until he reads the b.o.m :/ went to 2 wards and then went to dinner with a member! we had a lesson with tiara and tamara and it was so good! we talked about tithing, fasting + fast offerings and they both committed to both fasting this sunday!

randoms:

-there's this one street in magna that goes all out for christmas! the members talk about it literally year round! we ended up having a contact to go visit on that street so we were able to go walk it too and it was so fun! love christmas!

Alma 26: 37

37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.

this is the perfect scripture for this time of year! remember that God has done so much for you and let him know through prayer! :)
