Highlights
Hey hey!
here are the top things that happened this past week :
-on tuesday we had dinner with some of the sisters at texas roadhouse as a little farewell for sis heckert it was so much fun and nice to see the other sisters as well!
-tuesday I also felt sick most of the day, I have no idea why but ended up throwing up a few times. we were at one of our friends houses and as sister heckert was saying goodbye I ran out and threw up on their lawn. so that was fun.
-tuesday we also got transfer boards (pretty eventful day) and me and sis lamphere are staying together in the same area! yay!... but we're moving apartments :( it's ok tho
- on wednesday we dropped sis heckert off at the mission office. she's going home! So sad. a tear may have be shed. she will be missed. :, ( but I'm excited to see what the future has in store for her!
-thursday was moving day! It was a crazy day and consisted of a lot of packing and unpacking.
-friday and saturday we did lots of service! on friday we went to this one sisters house who is the sweetest human ever and chopped lots of her bushes down, the elders also threw snails at us since they do weird things like that, idk haha and then on saturday we went to a members home who recently moved into the stake and helped her unpack some of her boxes which was so good! service is always the best!
-paul got baptized on saturday! yay! we've been waiting a while for paul to be baptized so this was very exciting! he's a crazy little kid but we love him to bits and he has the strongest testimony ever!!!
-sunday was all together a crazy day and here's why: for the past few weeks a "special stake meeting" has been announced and well the day finally came and it was announced that one of the wards was going to be dissolved and all the ward bouderies changed. this was pretty stressful for us because of all the friends we've been teaching and whether or not they were moving wards and if they're fellowshipers where moving wards. it was very caotic. luckily our stake mission leader is AMAZE and has been helping us figure it all out.
randoms:
-it snowed! first snow on the mish and I've come to the conclusion that I like the snow when I'm inside but it was still pretty exciting!
-i forgot to mention that last week we witnessed a car crash in the intersection right in front of us and it was very scary but luckily everyone was ok! miracle!
spiritual moment:
1 nephi 4:6
And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.
multiple times me and my companions go into a lesson having a specific message or lesson planned but multiple time the spirit guides us in a different direction on what we need to share with them during that specific time. these experiences are always so powerful and the spirit is so strong! I just know from this and multiple other experiences that this is God's work and that he works through us as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint!!
I hope you all have a great week, eat lots of turkey!
-sis laws :)
