10 MONTHS
Howdy folks! Another email coming to you from the one and only Erda, UT. Here's this week's recap--->
Monday♡
Memorial day! We had a all day pday and it was pretty fun, got to play soccer with our district and frisbee golf....and I think I broke my toe but it's finnnnnne
Tuesday♡
Planning day! Took a fat minute doing that and then we made some contacts in our area and met Jake and Gracie! They just moved here and are not members of the church! Gracie seemed very interested and wants to meet with us...we're not too sure about Jake yet but we're hoping as we meet with Gracie, Jake will be able to feel the Spirit and understand the importance of the gospel! We also helped out at the homeless shelter and we were able to feed them dinner!
Wednesday♡
We met with President and Sister Spencer for transfer interviews and he told me I will probably stay in Erda for another transfer! Yay! We then went to lunch with this cute member family and then went on walks with some of the sisters and it all was fantastic. For dinner the Spencer's invited us to go to a cute Café with them and that was a lot of fun! I'm going to miss them! Sister Spencer also went proselytizing with us which was super fun! We had 3 awesome lessons and made a few contacts.
Thursday ♡
On Thursday we had our mission leadership council meeting which is something I always look foward too. This one was extra special because (A) It's the Spencer's last one! (B) we got to go to the temple with them and the other missionaries in the mlc and (C) it was at the mission home! So if you couldn't tell I was very excited and the whole thing was awesome and very emotional. The temple was beautiful and the trainings and discussions were great too. We talked a lot about the importance of PMG and how PMG and the Book of Mormon is really the only thing you need as a missionary. We also talked a lot about Charity. For the closing hymn we sang God be with you till we meet again and EVERYONE (including the elders) were crying because it was our last time with President and Sister Spencer. It was so sad, they will be missed. We visit with our friend Genny that night too and she basically told us that she wants to wait to be baptized until her husband can baptize her.....which is totally understandable....but we were still a little sad.....but it's okay because it won't be too long of a wait.
Friday♡
HIT 10 MONTHS WHATTTTTT craziness. Anywayyyy, we had our last Zone Council of the transfer which is always a tad reliving until it comes around again in 2 weeks. We made lots of contacts and had 2 lessons with 2 different families (that are apparently related, everyone's related here) We got in contact with Mareya again which is awesome and set up a time to come back!
Saturday ♡
On saturday we took Genny to a baptism in Stansbury so she could see a little of what it'll be like when it's her turn and she really enjoyed it! It was a family that I got to teach on exchanges when I went to that area so that was a little special. We had a lesson with one of our recent converts who husband just passed so that was a bittersweet time, but we love her and she's so gratefull for the knowledge of the plan of salvation. We also has a lesson with our recent converts Carly, Ariya and Fatima and those were all really good, we have awesome recent converts!
Sunday ♡
Yay church day! Went to 3 sacrament meetings and then after that Genny, her husband, us, and the bishop, decided together the plan for Genny and we decided that she'll be baptized on July 13th which is a bit of a ways away but at least she will be baptized which is of course so exciting! We finished the night off strong by having some solid lessons and made a few contacts, no one was interested but everyone was super kind which is always a success since you don't get that every day :) The Taylorsville, UT temple also got dedicated! Lettttssss goooo
Spiritual moment:
1 Nephi 11:17
And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things
