Many Mighty Miracles
Hey! Sorry its a late one but this week was insane! Let's get started!
Remember last week when we got a text from a young woman saying her friend wanted to meet with us? Well this week we met Bella and she's amazing! She's been going to church throughout the summer and went to FSY camp. She wants to be baptized and attend the temple so bad! We're so excited to help her!
We also met kendra! She's a sweet 9 year old girl who just moved here from Grantsville with her family and she's not baptized. She met with the elders in Grantsville (and told us she likes sisters better hehe) and wants to continue meeting with us and progress towards baptism! We're grateful for kendra!
We also met lots of other people and had some interesting conversations. Weirdly in this valley I've met a lot of people who are let's just say... interesting. We had lots of conversations with people who tried to prove our beliefs wrong but we always had a answer to their questions or concerns.
We had exchanges with the hermanas and hermana carrillo came to Erda with me! It was lots of fun and we found a few new friends to teach together!
We also finilized Grace's baptims and made the program and everything. She's so excited for her baptism !
Yesterday, Sunday, was a day full of miracles! so many of our friends and recent converts were able to come to church! There's also a non member family that the missionaries have been in contact with a while who have gone through so much. It's a dad and 2 girls. Their little brother passed away a year ago from a accident and their mom died a few week ago from cancer. They've had so many challenges but we've been able to witness how these challenges have help them accept the gospel AND they came to church for the first time this past Sunday and loved it! Truly a miracle! Please pray for the Carreon family!
We also met a non member at church and asked if we could come by sometime to meet with him and his family and share a bit of the gospel and what we believe in and he said YES so we're super excited to meet with him this week!
Also side note, today we witnessed a couple getting married while I was getting my passport so that was fun
Spiritual moment♡
I was pondering a little bit about why we seriously saw so many miracles this past week and what we did differently and noticed how me and my companion strived to be exactly obedient this week. We were always pretty obedient but there were things we could improve on. Were we perfect? No. But as we strived to be better every day and strived to be exactly obedient we saw so many miracles and tender mercies from God and it reminds me of Nephi from the Book of Mormon and how much faith he had in God and how he was a great example of obedience and putting trust in the Lord. He still went through so much with his family but they were truly blessed as they were obedient.
Nephi said
"And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them."
-1 Nephi 3:7
I love his example! Let us all strive to Go and Do and follow God's commandments with exactness!
LOVE YOU + GOD LOVES YOU TOO!
