Deseret Peak Temple + 14 months!
Helllllo everybody! Welcome back! Here's the weekly update :D
I had exchanges with Sister Snow this week who is from Fiji, I love her so much she's hilarious. We went to my area to work and we had some lessons with our friends and spent a lot of time knocking doors and overall it was a really good day!
Zone conference was also this week and as a zone we sang a tongan hymn for the musical number. It was awesome and definitely one of the highlights of the day.
Here are some topics we covered:
- having effective personal and companionship studies
-extending invitations effectively
-the power of sacred covenants and staying on the covenant path
Went on pros exchanges with sister king and we went to her area which was ASL and the Bennion Stake. We had a few lessons in ASL which was super cool, I didn’t really contribute to that at all but Sister king was able to put someone on date for baptism which was awesome! we met a guy named Robert who was outside washing his motorcycle ao we decide to go talk to him. We were at first we were very excited about him because he said he was going to come to church! But right after that he started asking really dumb questions that personally I don't really care about lol such as what God's name was....? We attempted to state our purpose and testified of a few principles such as the restoration and how we come to know whats true but he kept interrupting us...after a while we asked If he knew anyone else that was interested and he said no so we left. My patience is very limited with people like..
We found a new person names Les! He's from New Zealand and his wife is a member! He didn't really have a belief in Christ so we shared the principle of Faith and how we can come to know things a true through the Holy Ghost! We set up a time to come back!
We also met Summer who is a young mom of a few kids! her father in law refered her to us and she's not baptized! We taught her a few lessons this week and they went really good, she's been keeping all of her commitments! She'll be a slow progressor since she grew up with completely different beliefs but is very open minded and willing to meet with us!
This week Sister Goold and I got to help with the Deseret Peak Temple open house which was a really cool experience! Pretty much all we did was introduced the video that we showed the guests before they entered the temple for their tour and that's all we managed the whole day but it was still a once in a lifetime experience!
We scheduled a wedding for our friends Alicia and Aeto ! They're getting married this Monday!
TODAY I HIT 14 MONTHS! Wooho!
General Conference is this week go take a watch ! --->
have the best week ! Love you!
