MARSHALLESE

Good afternoon y'all! This week has been crazy. Transfers happened and since then i've been able to meet a lot of great people. We cover the marshallese out here and the work here is crazy. We spend most of our time with the Marshallese people because there's lots of work and potential, more then our English stake for right now. Here's a little rundown of the awesome people I've met so far

We met Elmer and he just moved here from the Marshall Islands a month ago. He was actually someone the Spanish hermanas found and referred to us. Elmer is pretty cool though and has such a open heart. Our first lesson we taught the importance of baptism and he said he wants to be baptized. He said he wanted to wait a few months though to be baptized after his girlfriend moves here from the Marshall Islands. We told him the importance of being baptized now and not waiting to receive the blessings that baptism gives us, we also said that if he's baptized before his girlfriend comes he could baptize her haha ;) he agreed and is on date for sep. 28th

Alisea is another friend in the English stake that we've met a few times this week and she's seriously so amazing. She's gone through a lot and has THE strongest desire to be baptized. The first lesson I had with her she shared the exciting news that she was off of probation and her boyfriend was so down to get married to her because they lived together. This was exciting and we also put her on date for the 28th. She told us a cool experience where she was told in a dream that the true church had 2 books, The Book of Mormon and the Bible and so since then shes been on the lookout for us. She came to church that Sunday and had a great experience but wasn't home for our lesson that afternoon which we thought was really unusual. Later in the evening we felt prompted to visit her again so we did and we found her in tears sitting on her front pourch. Not good stuff went down between her and her boyfriend and family. It was so sad because she told us all she wants to do is be baptized but her boyfriend and family wasnt supporting her but we were able to comfort her and testify to her that because of the atonement of Jesus christ he's aware of her and everything she's going through. We then offered her a priesthood blessing and she agreed. We met up with someone who was able to do that for her and it ended up being a really good spiritual experience which brought a lot of comfort in her life! Pray for Alisea!

Makayla is another friend that we met and she's being baptized on the 21st. We had her last lesson and went over the baptism interview question. It was a great lesson and she amazing. She's around 15 and has the strongest testimony ever and bore her testimony answering every question we asked. Love makayla!

We were supposed to have a lesson with our friend dialina but instead we met Mike, jon and Nena who live in the same household. We were able to have a lesson with them and they're awesome! They all want to be baptized and committed to coming to church!

Mission Leadership council was also this week and it was super good. It was shorter than usual but so spirit led!

We had Zone council on Friday and since I moved areas I also moved zones which was a weird adjustment since I was in the same zone for 6 months but it was a really good council and I'm super excited for this transfer !

ALSO we were blessed to find 7 new friends to teach this week! GOD IS SO GOOD
