18 MONTHS
Good Morning Everyone! So you know how ive said multiple times in muliplte emails that's it's been a crazy week? well oh boy I had no idea then. THIS WEEK WAS ACTUALLY INSANE I promise you're not ready. buckle up buttercup.
So MONDAY was a pretty normal day (but i prefer it like that) we had a fuego lesson with our new friend Leone who just moved here a few weeks ago to be with his girlfriend and family. He's been attending church with her and decided he wanted to learn more from us. It was a great lesson and he had lot's of good questions for us. We're excited to help him progress!
so that was monday..... but TUESDAY we were minding our own buisness doing our usual check in calls with all of the sisters as we do every tuesday morning when we get a text from one of the sisters that we need to come get her right now. when we read the text our stomach literally dropped it was no bueno. So picture this. Im on a video call with a sister companioship trying to finish the call without being too distracted while my companion is texting this other companiship trying to prevent them from killing each other. We had to cancel all of our calls and headed to their apartment and it was not a good situation and since this has been going on for a while we decided to reach out to our mission president for help but he couldn't help them until after his meeting which took up most of the day so we hung with the sisters all day and the contention was bad. you could cut it with a knife. but long story short they talked to president and everything was fine and jolley so we took them home and now its about 4:45ish.
We're driving home and we're stopped at a intersection right before you turn into our apartment complex when this car comes way too fast down the road and is making a left had turn but unfortunately he made the turn to fast and too sharp and unfortunately he was on his phone and didn't hear our horn or see us. He hit our truck head on and it went backwards at least 30 feet. and now we have no truck and now my companion has a broken arm. lovely. but it's actually a miracle we're all alive. our mission president gave us a blessing and he told us he had a overwhelimg feeling that we truly were protected because it should've been a lot worse. God is good.
So we spent the rest of tuesday night at the hospital but still managed to have one of our lessons over zoom. slay.
WEDNESDAY was spent at the hospital just being there for Sister Reidhead. She got surgery and so we helped her with anything she needed. THURSDAY was zone conference. Sister Reidhead was able to contact a family member to stay with her that day so we could go. Zone conference was amazing and so much fun. We focused a lot on baptism and urgency and had some great discussions and trainings on that. I also gave my departing testimony since it was my last zone conferenence and that was SO SAD AHHHH but if anyone wants to hear my departing testimony just let me know and i can send it to yu:))) some sisters made us some cute candy leighs and we took pictures
on FRIDAY I hit my 18 months! jeez it went by way too fast. Honestly I don't think it's hit me yet. In the afternoon we had to go save some other sisters and help them do a comp council and then in the evening we went on a pros exchange. Sister Henley came with me and Sister Faimanu in our area and we saw so many miracles! We were finally able to meet with one of our friends Christina and put her on date for baptism for February 22nd! Our friends Luz and her daughter Nayeli also passed their baptism inteview so that was FIRE
SATURDAY we participated in a service project and helped out at the D.I. and I found a New Mexico shirt which was also FIRE. Luz and Nayeli's baptism was scheduled for 6pm so we went a little early to set up and 6pm comes around and the ward is all there and the font is filled and they're still not there! We then get a text from Luz saying that the baptism has to be postponed until next week because her son is sick. girl no. It actaully was a bad situation where he had to go to the ER and then they almost burned down their house because they accidetly left the chicken on the stove while they were at the ER so when she told us about that the next day walking into church smelling very strongly of burnt chicken I understood and felt bad but in the moment I was not a happy camper. She and her daughter were able to be baptized the next day on Sunday and that was so great! She was so happy and was crying throughout the service. They're amazing :,,,)
also on Saturday I accidentally put a 8 year old on date for baptism (I promise I didn't know she was 8) so that was a little embarrassing lol
So that was this last week. I hope you enjoyed....maybe.

Doctorine & Covenants 6:13
If thou wilt do good, yea, and hold out faithful to the end, thou shalt be saved in the kingdom of God, which is the greatest of all the gifts of God; for there is no gift greater than the gift of salvation.
BUT I LOVE Y'ALL & SO DOES GOD
